I speak to so many intelligent, capable and multi -talented women who have no idea of how valuable their skill set is. Many don’t have an elevator pitch that properly describes their awesomeness. Some hate networking, others shy away from self promotion in any way. Many of these women could be blogging about what they do, but seem reluctant to even start. And surprisingly enough, the ones who do get out and network, never follow up.

What is stopping these amazing women from taking that next step into self promotion? Most will agree that it’s FEAR. Let’s be honest. Not many of us are willing to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway.’ I hate that myself. On the rare occasions I could force myself to get up and speak in public, I actually felt so sick and it was such an unpleasant experience, that I would avoid it for even longer next time.
Now you can’t get me off the stage.
Putting ourselves out there to be judged and possibly face rejection is not for the feint hearted.
What if there was a way to be able to do that without the huge anxiety or fear of rejection getting in the way?
Did you know that if you Tap on an issue like this, 9 times out of 10 you are able to just do the dreaded thing you so feared a few minutes ago? (Tapping is Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT for short. If you’ve never heard of it, google it)
I know that sounds too good to be true, but I have been using this amazing technique for 14 years of my life and it has changed everything for me. And Bob Proctor and Jack Canfield wouldn’t be teaching this to people all over the world either if there wasn’t something in it, would they?
Now, does that mean if you Tap on making that follow up call and you do pick up the phone up and make that call relatively easily, then you’ll never have that same problem again? For some people that could be the case. An issue can resolve itself with one round of tapping. For most though, they would need to tap on a number of occasions to be completely clear. For about 5 to 10% of the population, it might not work at all and for others, they might have to tap every time they need to make that follow up call. But isn’t that better than ‘feeling the fear and trying to do it,’ or worse still, not doing it at all?
I recently worked with a man who had been putting off making some important phone calls for months. After one round of Tapping he was able to pick up the phone without anxiety. Tapping doesn’t only work for follow up calls. It works on everything. Yes, I know that sounds too good to be true as well. If in doubt, google. Think of an issue or a problem, google that issue with EFT and you will find multiple references.
Some years ago, I was featured on a television lifestyle program, in which I worked with a man who suffered from severe and chronic procrastination. This issue had lost him his career, his home and his wife. We worked specifically on his inability to perform a simple routine task that the rest of us perform with ease and within minutes he was able to do that.
Tapping changes the neural pathways in the brain responsible for emotions which in turn affect behaviour. It works quickly and easily when cognitive methods fail. It is no longer necessary to ‘ feel the fear and do it anyway’. There has been a revolution in mindset mastery. Tap on the fear and then do it. Tapping changes perception. It is now possible to take action minus the fear.
